We would like to inform you about new measures to support businesses during the coronavirus crisis:

Extension of Antivirus A Program:

The government approved the possibility of applying for compensation for costs under the Antivirus A Program for employers, who had to partially or completely reduce their operations as a result of extraordinary government measures, or whose employees were quarantined, newly until August 31st, 2020.

Liberation package III:

Liberation Package III, which was approved at yesterday’s Government meeting, prolongs and extends some of the tax reliefs adopted under the Liberation Packages I and II, namely:

  • extension of the deadline for filing income tax returns until August 18th, 2020 and remission of sanctions related to late filing and payment of income tax;
  • extension of the deadline for filing real estate acquisition tax returns and paying the real estate acquisition tax until December 31st, 2020, provided that the tax administrator allows this delay in connection with the coronavirus epidemic; sanctions associated with late filing of the tax return and payment of the tax will be pardoned.

Loans for self-employed persons in the Central Bohemian Region:

The Central Bohemian Region has chosen Komerční banka as financial partner to support self-employed persons in the Central Bohemian Region, which will provide the region with loans of up to a total of 2.75 billion crowns to finance repayable financial assistance for self-employed persons affected by the coronavirus epidemic. It will be possible to draw such loans during June and July 2020, up to a maximum of CZK 50.000 per one entrepreneur, who can start repaying it in a year, i. e. in June 2021. However, the loan must be repaid no later than March 15th, 2024.

Tourism Crisis Action Plan:

The government approved an action plan aimed at contributing to the renewal of the tourism sector in the Czech Republic. The aim of the Tourism Crisis Action Plan is to help setting up anti-crisis measures, which will enable the renewal of the tourism sector in a sustainable and effective way. The Crisis Action Plan includes six thematic priority areas (Tourism Financing and Support for Increasing Demand for Tourism Services, Consumer Protection and Business Equality, Integrated Marketing, Data Collection and Analytical Work, Promotion of Employment and Management/System).
